‘Twas the Night before Halloween – A Peanut Bear Adventure
Synopsis
It’s Halloween and Peanut Bear and his pals are getting ready making costumes and candy pails!
They finish and go from house to house collecting candy, but the dark forest begins to scare them! They come across big frightful eyes in the dark, screaming ghosts keep darting out in front of them, a big skeleton jumps out with bones clanking, but they soon discover that things that go bump in the night are not always what they seem! Although they get scared stiff in the forest of Yippity Yay, Halloween turns into a night of laughs, fun and sharing treats for Peanut Bear and his friends!
Act 1:
Setting: Autumn in the forest of Yippity Yay during Halloween
Plot point: Peanut Bear and his pals go trick-or-treating and discover that things that go bump in the night are not always what they seem.
What happens: Peanut Bear, Bea, Owlivia, Sqwhale, Unicorny & Cowbunny Bo are excited for Halloween! They make their own costumes, bags, carve pumpkins and venture off into the forest at night to go trick-or-treating.
Act 2:
What happens: As they go from house to house collecting candy, the dark forest begins to scare them. But, they realize things in the dark aren’t always what they seem. They come across big frightful eyes in the dark and they turn out to be the owl twins taking a shortcut as they also trick-or-treat. Screaming ghosts keep darting out in front of them but they end up being snirds and bats that can’t see thru their ghost costumes! A big skeleton jumps out at them but it’s only a costumed Minotaur Mike who’s lost.
Act 3:
What happens – climax: When they finish trick-or-treating they all go to Peanut Bear’s house
to see all the candy they gathered. With the exception of Peanut Bear they realize the bottoms
of their homemade bags fell out along with all their candy!
What happens – resolution: Unicorny becomes really mad at himself for not using enough
glue on his trick-or-treat bag and explodes with anger, inadvertently making a popcorn treat
for everyone! Peanut Bear adds to the popcorn pile and shares his candy.
They all hear a scary rumbling sound around the candy and popcorn and huddle together
Frightened! Suddenly Bea bursts up from under the pile crunching on popcorn and they all
laugh!
